Colin and I have been to Chiang Mai before and loved it. You can imagine my excitement when he asked me to tag along on a business trip there. It was the first week I was in Thailand so I was not settled and still suffering from jet lag....but I could not pass up an opportunity to visit Chiang Mai! Plus the drive to Chiang Mai is gorgeous... if you like scenic views such as mountains, palm trees, and rice patties! Colin had to go to inspect a piece of equipment so the good news is that he was not too busy while there and we got to have some fun. Which included visiting Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep (temple located in the mountain with beautiful views of the city Chiang Mia), getting a Thai massage, eating, and walking around the city. When he worked I walked around the city and took a swim.

So it seems that monks chant, pray.. and fresh up paint on temples. |

Relaxing in Chiang Mai - many open aired eateries in Thailand. If you look hard you can see my white wine glass in the front of the pix. |
